Private lessons

Dr. Kim has a selective private studio and her students are motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about music. Many have won numerous competitions, including: New York International Piano Festival and Competition, MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) competitions, Empire State & Heddy Kilian Piano competitions by New York State Music Teachers Association, Ithaca College, Nazareth College, Penn State Piano competitions, Schenectady Symphony Orchestra's Parillo competition, Chopin Competition by Albany CDCYM and more. One of her students appeared at NPR's 'From the Top' and received the $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Awards scholarship. 

Her former students moved on to prestigious colleges and conservatories, including: Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Bowdoin College, Cornell University, Dartmouth University, Duke University, Harvard University, MIT, Princeton University, Williams College, Yale University, and more.
